Our Hypnotherapy Sessions

General Format

Each hypnotherapy session is around 50 minutes to an hour long. During the first part of the session, we’ll revisit how the brain works and focus together on positives and goals; the second part of the session is when we enjoy the lovely relaxing trance, during which time our subconscious mind supports what we want to be change in our lives.


Work around specific phobias (such as fear of the dentist or of creepy crawlies) tends to follow a format whereby we have one Initial Consultation and then a block of three therapy sessions. Of course, we are all different, and it may be that you feel things have significantly improved before this – and if they have, we won’t need to do all three sessions. Remember, our work together is tailored around you and your needs.

Other Work Together

People often find great benefits from the first few sessions, though further ones might be needed to embed the changes needed for their preferred future. We don’t drag appointments out unnecessarily and on average, people can choose to have between 8 – 12 sessions. We are different, and so our work together is based upon what you feel you need and how our work is benefitting you: there is no set number of sessions that you must fit into. These can be booked one at a time, so you don’t have to commit to a large number of appointments from the beginning.

To start with, we’ll have weekly sessions. After a while, we might extend these to two or three weekly, depending on how you feel.

We work side-by-side, together.  You’ll know when things feel improved enough for you to discontinue our work together. Of course, I will be there to support you as you make your decisions.
